First Article Published with Eat Drink Boulder!

Not only am I so excited to have my first piece published with Eat Drink Boulder, but I am quite proud of the article as well.

I like to think that my boyfriend and I have gone on a bit of a “beer journey” since moving to Boulder just over a year ago. Personally, I’ve gone from drinking mainly Bud Light and Labatt Blue Light to asking people, “What’s your darkest beer on the menu?” I have loved being adventurous in trying new styles and flavors of beer here, and luckily this is a town in which you’re encouraged to do so and there is no shortage of variety to choose from. Craft brewing is so creative and interesting here in Boulder, and I love how invested both the brewers and the community are in their craft.

If you know me, you also know that November and December are my favorite months out of the year not just because I love wreaths, garland, Christmas lights, sugar cookies, chilly nights, warm quilts, gift-giving, The Santa Clause, A Muppet Christmas Carol, and cinnamon-scented pine cones, but because it’s a time of year when you get to be with family, celebrate what you’re thankful for, and show others how thankful you are for them.

Combine this love of the holiday season and spirit with Boulder’s craft beer scene and you get “Merry and Bright in Boulder: Holiday Ales Galore,” my premiere article on Eat Drink Boulder. Click here to learn a bit about the longstanding tradition of brewing holiday ales and where you can find some of the best in town.
